Member Utilities will mark their facilities in accordance with the American Public Works Association Uniform Color codes using the following colors:
Red: Electric Power Lines, Cables, Conduit and Lighting Cables
Yellow: Gas, Oil, Steam, Petroleum or Gaseous Materials
Orange: Communication, Cable TV, Alarm or Sign Lines, Cables or Conduit
Blue: Potable Water
Green: Sewers and Drain Lines
Purple: Reclaimed Water, Irrigation and Slurry Lines
Pink: Temporary Survey Markings
White: Proposed Excavation
NOTE: Water and Sewer lines on private property are not marked. They are considered private lines as they are not owned or maintained by your water or sewer company.
